“Game Day” takes Firmament Films to Filmapalooza 2015

Firmament Films is absolutely, astonishingly proud to announce that – for the third year in a row – we have won Best Picture at the Madison 48 Hour Film Festival with “Game Day”. This is a huge and wonderful honor. This was hands down the best year for all the teams in Madison, and we are so very proud to be among some of the finest indie filmmakers the Midwest has produced. There were an incredible amount of amazing films this year that we encourage you all to seek out on You Tube and Vimeo.

In addition to Best Film, Firmament also was bestowed with Best Direction to T.C. De Witt and Kris Schulz, Best Editing to Chad Halvorsen, and Best Cinematography to Jon Kline and his team, including Ryan Freng and Chris Moehr.

We also received Best Score, which we have Jamison Stokdyk to thank for. Jamison’s work on “Game Day” was absolutely pivotal in its success. Without Jamison, we would not have been able to pull off Musical. He is one of the most talented composers working in the indie world.

Finally, we were awarded Audience Favorite, which is the most cherished award to Firmament Film. To be among such fantastic films and film makers, we feel this award comes from the heart of those who come out each year to support and enjoy the challenge of the Fest. We simply cannot thank Madison and all our fellows enough. Thank you a million times over for an incredible year of 48 hour madness.
